Laugharne

Although Laugharne is a small township, there are a number of excellent restaurants, tea/coffee houses and pubs. There is a great community spirit and the local people are very welcoming and friendly. Both Laugharne and nearby Pendine offer a lot of interesting events and activities. In Laugharne, there are options for:

  • Walks in all directions, including Dylan’s Birthday Walk along the cliff with fantastic views.
  • Exploring Laugharne Castle.
  • Visiting Dylan Thomas Boathouse and Writing Shed.
  • Horse riding around the town and surrounding area (for all abilities).
  • Live bands and music in Laugharne pubs regularly at weekends.
  • Laugharne has its own Rugby team.
  • Traditional events such as the toy duck race on the River Corran.
  • Typically, three or four Laugharne Weekends (festivals) per year.
